Since its inception in 1944, MAF has harnessed technology to overcome barriers and advance God's Kingdom in remote and isolated areas. Early flight services were soon followed by MAF innovations in aviation and communications, including the first aircraft-to-ground phone communication known as the "bucket drop," and the Missavia transistorized radio network that met needs for light, power, communications, and long-distance transmission in the field.
